Consistent service constructed upon a scaffolding of trust: this is how Gurjit builds community through her work. Responding to a client’s needs may include collaborating with another lawyer in the firm, which is why Gurjit values strong relationships with her colleagues.

Gurjit is a talented litigator. By engaging her clients collaboratively through every step in their legal matter, Gurjit ensures clients are heard and understood. This is how she protects her clients’ unique interests.

Gurjit completed her Juris Doctor at Bond University in Australia. She established herself as an effective litigator shortly after being called to the Bar of British Columbia. In Edmonton, Gurjit chose to develop her expertise in construction law in order to add a meaningful dimension to her practice.

Spending time with family, travelling, and reading fantasy fiction allows Gurjit to imagine people in circumstances other than hers overcoming novel challenges. She credits downtime exploring unfamiliar worlds and different personalities for stimulating her creativity and expanding her communication skills employed back at the office.

We acknowledge that what we call Alberta is the traditional and ancestral territory of many peoples, presently subject to Treaties 6, 7, and 8. Namely: the Blackfoot Confederacy – Kainai, Piikani, and Siksika – the Cree, Dene, Saulteaux, Nakota Sioux, Stoney Nakoda, and the Tsuu T’ina Nation and the Métis People of Alberta. This includes the Métis Settlements and the Six Regions of the Métis Nation of Alberta within the historical Northwest Metis Homeland. We acknowledge the many First Nations, Métis and Inuit who have lived in and cared for these lands for generations. We are grateful for the traditional Knowledge Keepers and Elders who are still with us today and those who have gone before us. We make this acknowledgement as an act of reconciliation and gratitude to those whose territory we reside on or are visiting.
